The City of Garfield Heights, in partnership with Rites of Passage Restoration, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and Fire & Rhythm, invites families to our Back-to-School Celebration on Sunday, August 23, 2026. The day begins at 11:00 a.m. with a special visit to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History alongside Mayor Matt Burke, where attendees will have the opportunity to explore the museum and learn about history. At 2:00 p.m., the celebration continues at the Garfield Heights Civic Center with a backpack and school supply giveaway while supplies last. Food and refreshments will be provided, and the event is open to families as we work together to help students start the new school year prepared for success.
