Viewpoint With Dennis Quaid is a short form documentary series that partners with communities, nonprofits, and industry leaders to produce educational segments highlighting local innovation, economic development, and quality of life stories. Dennis Quaid is the host of this educational documentary-style TV program that runs on Public Television, and is also broadcast as commercial news breaks on CNBC, FOX Business, CNN Headline News, Discovery Channel, and via the Internet.
The series is widely used by cities and counties to showcase positive momentum and growth. It’s for these reasons the City of Garfield Heights was contacted and selected to be showcased in the Viewpointdocumentary series titled Discovered America: Great Places to Live, Visit, and Start a Business.
Members of the program’s pre‑production team were in Garfield Heights on Friday, June 5, 2026, to conduct on-camera interviews with local community leaders as well as capture preliminary background footage at select locations throughout the community. This visit marks the first phase of the City’s participation in the Viewpoint segment and will help the production team document the people, places, and ongoing initiatives that reflect Garfield Heights’ progress and potential. The material gathered during this session will inform the narrative direction of the feature and ensure that the City’s story is represented accurately, thoughtfully, and with the high production quality associated with the Viewpoint With Dennis Quaid series.
